Delta Oral Maxillofacial and Implant Surgery opened its doors in 2025. Headed by Dr. Ashabranner, we boast state-of-the art equipment and can handle all of your oral and maxillofacial surgery requirements.

Dr. Sloan Ashabranner, DDS
Dr. Sloan Ashabranner is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon dedicated to delivering compassionate, high-quality surgical care to patients in the Jonesboro community and beyond.
Originally from Arkansas, Dr. Ashabranner earned his dental degree from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry and completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Detroit Medical Center and the University of Illinois at Chicago. He has advanced training in anesthesia, facial trauma, orthognathic surgery, and complex dental implant rehabilitation.
He is board certified by both the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. In addition to private practice, Dr. Ashabranner remains actively involved in resident education through his academic role at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center.
His clinical interests include corrective jaw surgery, dental implants (including zygomatic implants), wisdom teeth removal, facial trauma, oral pathology, and reconstructive procedures. He is known for his calm demeanor, clear communication, and commitment to patient-centered care.
Outside the operating room, Dr. Ashabranner enjoys time with his wife, Dr. Fauzia Akbary, an OB/GYN at St. Bernards, and their new daughter, Ava Belle Ashabranner.
